Montreal band The Dears have announced their first album in four years, Times Infinity Volume One, to be released September 25th, and have just released new single via Noisey.
During the band’s four-year break, lead singer Murray Lightburn was skeptical about the future of The Dears. “When you start a band, you never think of the end,” he said. “When we began work on this album, it was a process that consumed us completely, harkening back to our earliest days. In turn, the record became about sentimentality but in the face of great uncertainty; the concept of eternal love and all its fragility.”
The album was written in a two-year span and produced by the Lightburn himself. The band will tour the album later this year but currently are in the studio working on Times Infinity Volume Two with a 2016 release.
