Surviving Members Of Mad Season And Duff McKagan Announce They Are Working On New Material

Sixteen years after their initial breakup, and thirteen years after lead singer Layne Staley’s passing, and Mad Season are back in the studio. Mike McCready and Barrett Martin, all original members of the Seattle-based supergroup, are teaming up with Guns and Roses bassist Duff McKagen to work on new music. Martin announced on this Tuesday via his Facebook.

This will be the second album for the super group. The band has reunited several times in the past 16 years; In 2014, the remaining members of the group performed with McKagen and Chris Cornell and released Mad Season box set back in 2013, featuring unreleased Mad Season material. Who will be recording vocals for the band is currently unknown.
