The Arcs, a band featuring The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, have released their latest track, “Outta My Mind.”
The track will appear on The Arcs’ debut album, Yours, Dreamily, which will be released on September 4 via Nonesuch Records. In addition to Auerbach, the group also includes Richard Swift, Leon Michels, Homer Steinweiss and Nick Movshon, with Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache also featured on the album.
“Outta My Mind” is the second track released from the forthcoming album, with the first being “Stay in My Corner.” The newest song has a steady, fast-paced beat and a catchy hook sung by Auerbach. It has a more alternative rock sound than blues, separating it from the music of The Black Keys despite the two bands sharing a vocalist. Listen to “Outta My Mind” below.
Yours, Dreamily is currently available for pre-order and the pre-orders include downloads of “Stay in My Corner” and “Outta My Mind.” The Arcs will release a 7-inch single featuring the latter track along with a song that won’t appear on the full-length album, “My Mind.”
