Mark Ronson just released a video for his song “I Can’t Lose” which features another artist, Keyone Starr. The single recently made it to the top spot of the BBC Radio 1 playlist. Ronson’s critically-acclaimed fourth album, Uptown Special, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 and includes the hit “Uptown Funk” featuring Bruno Mars. Talk about successful and catchy, Ronson creates tunes that no one can keep out of their head. Following a meteoric climb up the charts, the record-breaking hit single held on to the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for fourteen weeks – making it the second-longest No. 1 in history. Mark Ronson was awarded the GRAMMY for Producer Of The Year in 2008, also winning two more that year for his work on Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black.
The mix of twenty mobs and booze with a seventies Saturday Night Fever is enough to make you want to gamble the night away. Ronson and Starr play as singers for a hot joint in town as musicians, but Ronson ends up getting into a dance fight with some local gang members. I guess you can say that maybe luck was a lady that night. The video ends with Ronson and Starr leaving with the money winnings from the gambling event that night.
Following the success of Ronson’s single “Uptown Funk” and gaining some great reviews for his music video for “I Can’t Lose”. His June 26 performance at Glastonbury will feature a guest spot, allowing Ronson to debut tracks like “Daffodils” and “Leaving Los Feliz” onstage.
