Shannon and the Clams Announce New Album Gone By The Dawn For September 2015 Release

The Oakland-based vintage garage-punk trio has gifted the world with their new album entitled, Gone By The Dawn. The studio album is set to release in September 2015. Out of three different journeys in the American west merged the anachronistic influence and a unique musical complex of lyrical companionship. The band consists of singer and guitarist, Cody Blanchard (Oregon), singer and bassists, Shannon Shaw (Northern California) and drummer and keys, Nate Mayhem (California’s central coast). These three talented comrades started their venture playing house parties and hole-in-the-wall clubs. This album is critically-acclaimed to be some of their best production by far.

Letting loose on emotions, relentless joy, struggles and trials they have faced was a daring approach but could be appreciated. Their artistic standpoint has climbed to a height of profound gratitude, and it’s respectful because they show their rawness, flaws and all. Many artists are afraid to show their true colors while throwing riffs into wavering motions. The eclectic trio had a chance to consult with a studio magician and a well-seasoned guy, Sonny Smith to record the album at Tiny Telephone Recording in San Francisco, CA. Smith’s approach is all over their new found sound; it’s refreshing. Gone by the Dawn is proof of what the perfect chemistry and techniques could do to enhance the evolution of sound. Shannon and the Clams make weird look good as they diversify new instruments to create another dynamic in their sound. Their sound is a landscape of some classic R&B, doo wop infused with some really good psychedelic rock. In comparison to their third album, Dreams In The Rats House, more precise, stronger and serious.

Shannon and the Clams have rocked California’s Burger Records Burger Boogaloo and Burgerama stages in the past, known for it’s garage-punk show downs.

The garage-knockers will be on tour starting as veterans of the Burger Boogaloo stage Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Mosswood Park Amphitheatre (Oakland, CA) to July, 26, 2015 at Capitol Hill Block Party (Seattle, WA). This may very well be Shannon and the Clams season!
