California born and Arizona raised Lindsey Stirling, goes far beyond being a mere musician. As a performance artist, violinist, dancer, and composer, Stirling covers all aspects of being a performer. Tying in her skills as an interpretive artist with her passion for the violin, Stirling provides carefully constructed choreographed acts in her live performances. Her concerts are a treat, both uniquely visually and aurally stimulating.
Not only does Stirling span various elements of being an artist, she even brings a broader inclusion in the genres she performs, producing classical, dance, and even hip-hop tunes; nothing is off limits for Stirling.
After becoming a quarter-finalist in season five of America’s Got Talent, Stirling finally received her big break into the mainstream, undoubtedly helping her procure her second-place standing in the 2014 Billboard 200 with her second studio album Shatter Me, which later went on to win the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in the Top Dance and Electronic Album category. Highly focusing on EDM, this album implements intense and upbeat violin melodies with supporting dubstep, sometimes incorporating contrasting aspects of metal and classical music. Clearly, Stirling is not bound by the conventional modes of pop music, yet the individuality she brings to the table has managed to continuously expand her popularity within the general public.
