Dawes Announce Summer And Fall 2015 Tour Dates

Dawes added new tour dates to their current North American tour yesterday preceding the release of their new album All Your Favorite Bands.

Adding to their already established list of shows across America, the new dates that were just added span from August to October 3. The tour is already underway, starting tonight in Louisville, KY at Headliners Music Hall. The new shows that have been added span from Missouri to North Carolina.

As well as their headlining gigs, Dawes will be making festival stops and guest appearances throughout the tour. Dawes is scheduled to perform on the Conan O’Brian Show this Thursday with guests Chris Pratt and Eric Dane. The band will also be performing on this year’s Bonnaroo lineup, as well as Winnipeg Folk Festival and Xponential Music Festival. They are scheduled to headline shows with openers including First Aid Kit and My Morning Jacket, but will also be supporting Hozier on few shows, as well as Mumford and Sons, with whom they performed their single “When My Time Comes” with back in 2011 at WXPN for the World Cafe 20 Anniversary Concert in Philadelphia.

All Your Favorite Bands, the acclaimed new album, dropped a week ago and is already gaining plenty of buzz. It’s predecessors, North Hills, Nothing Is Wrong, and Stories Don’t End have had plenty of success as well, including singles that have been featured in television shows such as Parenthood and American Dad. The band, made up of Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith, Wylie Gelber and Tay Strathairn, will be featuring new traveling guitarist, Duane Betts, for the first time this tour.

The video for their newest single, “Things Happen,” premiered back in April of this year. The sound, tipping a little more towards indie rock than their earlier more folk influenced singles, is added proof that while Dawes may follow the same formula when it comes to their sound, each album will prove to pull through with various high notes. Continuing to capture their core sound after three albums, All Your Favorite Bands sees the band creating even more stories based on love found, love lost, and life lessons relatable to any new listener and/or faithful fan of the smooth, melodic quartet.
