Indie rock darlings Death Can for Cutie performed some of their biggest hits in 2009 for an episode of Soundstage. Now, you can see the performance for yourself on Qello.
During the band’s episode, they performed such hits as “The Sound of Settling,” “Soul Meets Body” and “I Will Possess Your Heart.” For major fans, the set included a few deep cuts from the band’s earliest albums. Singer Ben Gibbard coos every tune perfectly throughout the show, and is backed by gorgeous soundscapes.
The show took place right after the band’s completion of Narrow Stairs in 2008, and included what were then new songs from their next EP The Open Door. It’s a piece of the band’s history in the making.
