WATCH: Bjork Releases New Video For “Stonemilker”

Bjork’s artistic endeavors have reached a new level of interactivity with her latest video for “Stonemilker.” With the ability to rotate the video a full 360 degrees, the video allows a method for fans to interact with the Icelandic singer/songwriter in such a way that she has never made possible before.

Bjork’s made headlines frequently thus far in the year, and she looks to make another leap into stardom with the release of her new video for “Stonemilker.” The video offers viewers the opportunity to navigate the video full 360 degrees as Bjork floats from spot to spot on a beach outside of Reykjavik. As the video progresses, Bjork often splits into other Bjork clones, which adds a surprising effect when panning around using the arrows on the screen. With the combination of the 360 degree view and her ability to go wherever she chooses, the “Stonemilker” video brings a level of semi-virtual-reality interactivity that can only otherwise be achieved through attending a Bjork concert in person. The song, which comes from her latest record, Vulnicura, features a hauntingly beautiful string section, and Bjork’s graceful movements often sync up perfectly to the musical track. It’s a magnificent feat by Bjork, and there are very few in the music industry who can match up to the level of artistic interactivity that Bjork has achieved through the use of this video.

This is just one of many visually spectacular videos that Bjork has released this year. She also recently released a video for the single “Lionsong,” another fantastic track off of Vulnicura. Additionally, she released fantastic moving album cover for “Family.”
