LISTEN: Albert Hammond Jr. Releases New Song “Losing Touch”

The Strokes just got off their European tour, with an appearance at Spain’s festival Primavera Sound. Now their guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr., is releasing his 3rd solo album Momentary Masses that is set to be released on July 31st. His first single off the album titled “Losing Touch” was just released. “Losing Touch” precedes* his first song drop “Born Slippy” and has a similar alternative feel that most Strokes songs have, yet a distinction can be made between the two; “Losing Touch” leans on a more pop-like structure, and with brighter vocals.

Hammond Jr. recently switched labels; with his 2013 EP release AHJ, he worked on his Strokes bandmate Julian Casablancas Cult Records label. The Stokes released their most recent album Comedown Machine in 2013, but are still continuing to tour it. This month they embark on their first U.K. tour in five years, and a few U.S. festival dates later on this year.

Albert Hammond Jr. will be going on a U.S. tour this fall promoting the album. Listen to “Losing Touch” below and be sure to check out our article on the new album here along with our review of AHJ
