Afropunk fest will makes its eleventh return to the “City That Never Sleeps” this August, with another slew of talented performances. The two-day festival will take place on August 22 and 23 at Brookly’s Commodore Barry Park.
The lineup features a wide range of performers including Grace Jones, Ms. Lauryn Hill, lis, Danny Brown, Suicidal Tendencies, Thundercat, GoldLink, Kaytranada, Curtis Harding and more.
Prior to the fest, Afropunk will throw its debut of the annual Afropunk Fancy Dress Ball , along with special guests Grace Jones, Cakes Da Killa & MikeQ. The event will raise funds in support of the Afropunk Global Initiative, which emphasizes progressing closer to a more democratic and enlightened representation of people of color within society. The event will take place August 21 at Commodore Barry Park.
