Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav Arrested For Alleged Drug Possession

Flavor Flav is making headlines in Las Vegas yet again, but it’s not for any sort of concert or public performance. Flavor Flav is on the wrong side of the law once again in Las Vegas having been arrested under a variety of different charges including an alleged drug possession.

Flavor Flav just can’t stop finding himself on the wrong side of a police encounter as of late. The Public Enemy rapper came under fire, literally and figuratively, last July for setting off illegal fireworks on his property in Vegas. This time around, Flavor Flav has been arrested on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and driving with a suspended license. Flavor Flav (real name William Drayton) was brought in by police after an officer clocked him driving over seventy miles per hour in a forty-five mile per hour zone. While it’s currently unclear if the rapper will see any serious jail time, this isn’t the first time Flavor Flav has had issues with Vegas police. Outside of the citation for using illegal fireworks, Flavor Flav pleaded guilty to attempted battery charges two years ago after pulling a knife on his girlfriend’s son. He also served a brief jail stint back in 2002 for driving on a suspended license and for unpaid parking tickets.

The arrest follows just a few short months after Pubic Enemy announced a planned reissue of two of their classic albums.

No comments have been made yet by either Flavor Flav or any of his representatives.

Doug Farrell: Am I a hip old lady that can hip-hop, be-bop, dance 'til you drop, and yo-yo make a wicked hot cup of co-co? No, but I am a struggling twenty-eight year old writer who loves music and writing about music.
