Teenage Time Killers have released a new track from their upcoming collaborative album. Take a listen to this punky tune featuring Matt Skiba and Brian Baker.
The supergroup Teenage Time Killers have a lineup ranging from Dave Grohl to Nick Oliveri and Jello Biafra. With such a wide range of musical collaborators at its helm, the group takes on whatever melodic flavor each member brings to individual tracks.
For this newest release, we get to hear Matt Skiba and Brian Baker take on a short, punchy set of chords. “Barrio” sounds just as you would imagine: a mix of Alkaline Trio and Minor Threat.
The song kicks off with Baker’s energetic guitar riffs, accompanied by Skiba’s powerful vocals. It’s unabashedly punk, pulling straight from the band members’ 1990s skate punk and hardcore punk roots. This song is fast, simple and over in less than three minutes.

Teenage Time Killers recently announced their debut album Greatest Hits Vol. 1 (yes, it really is the group’s first album). The 20-track debut will go on sale starting July 31, and fans can pre-order it now to receive a download of “Barrio.”
The album will feature a few covers, but most of it consists of original tracks written by a long list of some of the greatest names in rock, punk and metal music today.
