Lamb of God have something big planned this month, but just what it is we’re not completely sure. On May 4, the band posted a countdown to… something. The group have already teased their newest album once this spring, so it’s not yet confirmed if this countdown has anything to do with their 7th studio album.
The international countdown showed up on the band’s new website. The band’s website is called Lamb of God VII, which is a good indication that it has something to do with the band’s new album, which would be their 7th official release. The homepage features five panels labeled with different regions. So far India and Israel are the first two listed regions.
When you scroll over the panels, they start a video shot in black-and-white, like pieces of a puzzle coming together. We’ll need a few more panels to be released before we have an idea of what the entire picture looks like. The entire countdown ends on May 15 at 1 p.m. EST.
Loudwire points out that the India panel features Pratika in the video. She appeared in the band’s documentary As the Palaces Burn. The band also filmed part of the documentary in Israel, which was the second released video.
Stay tuned here as more videos are released from this countdown.
The band isn’t only hard at work on new music. They were just announced as one of the acts performing at this year’s Heavy Montreal, and released their documentary As the Palaces Burn this past fall. Watch the trailer for the documentary right here.
In April, Lamb of God already started teasing photos of their work on their newest album through their Instagram page. Fans can expect at least one big reveal from the band this spring to tide themselves over in the meantime.
