Muse revealed their newest video, “Dead Inside”, and things get really dark and expressive through the art form of dance. The video was directed by Robert Hales who has done incredible work for some of the world’s most influential artists, such as Justin Timberlake, Avril Lavigne, Tame Impala, Death Cab For Cutie, Gnarls Barkley and many more. The choreographer for the dancers is Tessandra Chavez who has been choreographing since the age of 11 and has appeared on FOX’s hit show, So You Think You Can Dance. As soon as the down beat hits, it’s as if the chorus, “Dead inside”, brings the very expressive dancers, Will B. Wingfield and Kathryn McCormick to life. The dancers stand at the beginning of the video as if they were in a mummified trance surrounded and covered in what looks like ashes or dust. As the guy dancer lunges into this really captivating eye-gawking slow-mo robotic move, he touches his portrayed companion and the energy raises instantaneously.

The graceful lady dancer eyes are all black and gives an impression of being evil and cold. The verse “Do you have no soul?” and “You can bring me back to life, on the outside you’re ablaze and alive
but you’re dead inside” paints the entire visual creativity wickedly-attractive. As the video progresses you notice the band is scattered as if they were in separate entities while the dancers tells the story of a man being entangled in a woman’s control. The choreography is spot-on with being super innovative, energetic and seductively-dark. Towards the end the dancers interpret a rage as the music escalates in exasperating dramatics. The woman ends with complete domination and what appears to be absorbing the energy out of the man who eventually falls lifeless.

The English rock band recently gave a pretty high energy concert on May 15th at The Mayan in Los Angeles, CA. At the beginning of March, Muse released track number 3, “Psycho” along with a music video off their forthcoming seventh album, Drones.

The English rock band’s hit single “Dead Inside” will make it’s feature on the seventh album, entitled Drones, which is expected to drop on Warner Bros. Records June 9th.

The new album, Drones is available for pre-order on CD, CD+DVD, 12″ double gatefold 180g vinyl, digital download or the exclusive muse.mu deluxe package with CD/DVD/tri-fold vinyl: Muse
