In anticipation of the upcoming documentary of Kurt Cobain, titled Montage of Heck, Brett Morgen has released a never-before-heard recording of the Nirvana frontman covering a Beatles’ classic, “And I Love Her.”
The track is a minute and a half and features Cobain’s signature gritty sound and acoustic guitar. The recording appears to have significant amount of white noise in the background as if it were recorded on a tape recorder.
Montage of Heck is now screening in select theaters and a week from today, on May 4th at 9pm ET, HBO will be streaming the first ever fully authorized documentary on the late singer. The project is directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker, Brett Morgen.
