HEALTH Announce New Album And Release New Video For “New Coke”

Los Angeles noise rock band HEALTH have announced a new album entitled Death Magic. They have also released a music video for the first single from the record, “New Coke.”

The 12-track album will be released August 7 via Loma Vista Recordings. It’s the band’s first LP since 2009, and their third full-length album overall.

“New Coke” has a rock/techno hybrid beat that alternates between being incredibly fast and slowing down to mid-tempo. The vocals are ambient and have a reverberating quality to them. The video is fitting for the song itself, which sounds like it would be played in a club. The music video depicts people partying and suffering the after-effects of their drinking. You can see the full video below, but you may not want to watch it at work or while eating.

A message reading “If You Need to Talk” appears at the end with a real phone number, which you can call or text. According to video comments, the number belongs to one of the band members.
