Multi-talented Italian producer and artist Giorgio Moroder has released a new track, “Deja Vu,” featuring Sia.
The single is from his forthcoming album, also titled Deja Vu, which will be out June 12 via RCA. In addition to Sia, Moroder collaborated with Charli XCX, Britney Spears, Kelis and more. He has previously released two other tracks from the album, “74 is the New 24” and “Right Here Right Now,” the latter of which is with Kylie Minogue. Deja Vu is Moroder’s first album in three decades.
While “74 is the New 24” slowly builds itself up and “Right Here Right Now” is a modern dance song, the title track blends those two characteristics together. Combining Moroder’s disco beats and Sia’s crooning, the song feels both classic and modern. It’s catchy enough to become a popular song, but stands out from most of the current hits, thanks to Moroder’s creativity and history in the music industry. Listen to “Deja Vu” below.
In addition to releasing solo work, Giorgio Moroder has also announced that he will be collaborating with Skrillex for the soundtrack to the Tron video game.
