Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has released a video of him performing a piano-only, stripped down version of Spoon’s 2014 track “Inside Out”, which was originally off of their album They Want My Soul.
The video features Vernon performing the song in a dark, outdoor setting surrounded by floor lights playing the piano. This version of the track primarily focuses on the lyrics of the song.
The video was release as a teaser for his upcoming Eaux Claires Music Festival which is being hosted at Foster Farm in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The festival was curated by Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner, guitarist for the National.
On deciding the line-up for Eaux,
“I vaguely just picked a diverse cross section of my favorite music — my favorite live music, specifically.”
