Awaiting the spring release of his latest album Damogen Furies, UK-based electronic DJ and bass player Tom Jenkinson, aka Squarepusher, has been hard at work. Just last year, Jenkinson released the bass-heavy, five-track EP Music for Robots. Two years before, he showcased the melodic, yet electronically-aggressive Ufabulum. As a teaser in anticipation of his latest work Damogen Furies—scheduled for release this April—Jenkinson unveiled a live performance of newest single “Rayc Fire 2”.

“Damogen Furies is a fusion of his ability to meld and mold his unique breed of pioneering electronic composition and boundary-warping drum n’ bass which has become synonymous with his cult legacy,” a press release explains.

This seamless fusion of electronic reverberations is echoed throughout his latest track. “Rayc Fire 2”, which premiered via VICE Japan, is accompanied by a video featuring an ominously glitch-y Jenkinson jamming to the track from different angles. The intensity of the track is strengthened by each of the video’s energetically fleeting moments.
