Joni Mitchell Found Unconscious And Taken To The Hospital

Singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was sent to the hospital yesterday due to a bizarre medical incident.

Mitchell, 71, was found unconscious in her home in Bel Air this Tuesday, March 31. Paramedics arrived quickly after a 911 call at 2:30PM reporting an unconscious woman. After the arrival of the paramedics, Mitchell was said to have regained consciousness in the ambulance while on the way to the hospital.

Prior to this incident, Mitchell had been struggling with Morgellons Disease, a skin condition that has kept her from performing since last year. Currently, not enough clear evidence points to the cause of her most recent health complication. She is receiving medical attention in the ICU at the moment. Reports on Mitchell’s website state that Mitchell is “awake and in good spirits.”
