British Summer Time Hyde Park June 20 2015 Lineup Announced Featuring Blur, Metronomy and The Horrors

The United Kingdom will be advancing one hour ahead of its standard measurement of time. While such a mild event would be glanced at by the general populace, the bands that have elected to flock to the UK in “celebration” of this occurrence will surely arouse some measure of excitement in said populace.

The British Summer Time festival, held at the legendary Hyde Park outdoor venue, will be in full swing once again this summer, and the lineup for this year’s festival is nothing short of outstanding. Several well-known acts will be making their presence known at the festival, such as The Who, The Strokes, and even Beck. During the particular date that we at Mxdwn are highlighting, there are a few indie and mainstream acts that will be taking the same stage as those legendary acts, albeit on a different date. The June 20th show will be headlined by none other than Blur. Following the headliners will be Metronomy, The Horrors, and even the Sugarmen.

The British Summer Time Festival, aptly named after the time change that occurs in the United Kingdom around the same time, is sponsored by Barclaycard, and has been in existence for a little over three years. Although not quite designed to reign in the aforementioned time change, the timing of the festival is perfect, as the time change allows for shorter days and longer nights. Concertgoers in particular will have the pleasure of still being able to see their favorite bands perform in the light of day well into the late night hours.
