Peter Hook Will Perform Joy Division’s Entire Catalog At A Benefit Show

Former Joy Division bassist Peter Hook will honor the 35^th anniversary Ian Curtis’ death with a show on May 18^th and the Christ Church in Macclesfield, England. The 500-seat 18^th century church will be the setting for the charity gig that will feature Hook performing “the complete works of Joy Division,” Slicing Up Eyeballs reports.

Hook will be accompanied by his band Peter Hook & the Light, who just recently went on tour in the fall of 2014. Tickets for the performance will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday.

Branded as the “So This is Permanence” concert, is named from a lyric from “Twenty Four Hours.” Hook “will play every single track written and recorded”—meaning the hits from classics 1979’s Unknown Pleasures and 1980’s Closer will finally come to life once again.

Proceeds from the performance will aid the Epilepsy Society and the Churches Conservation Trust. More information on the concert can be found over at Hook’s website.
