It feels like half the world hasn’t even caught on to FKA twigs’ explosion into the pop consciousness, but the reality is that she is one of the few truly pushing boundaries in this oft-predictable genre. In what is sure to be an immersive experience, the mystery woman herself will produce two shows likely to be unusual as they are thrilling. The events will both take place at the Brooklyn Hangar, which is essentially a gigantic, empty warehouse by the naval base in Brooklyn. Somehow, it seems unlikely you will remember the city you left once you walk through the doors.
FKA Twigs is a singer, songwriter, and performer from the U.K.. After being nominated for a variety of awards for her first LP last year, it seems she is ready to redefine the music scene here in the U.S. and emerge into the limelight of the mainstream. This show may be the kind of experience you only get once.
