The Fader Fort really wowed us. They deserve the title for ‘Most Arty and Visually Appealing Venue’ at this year’s festival. The grassy area of the venue had colorful lawn chairs and wooden tables with markers to doodle on. The inside of the fort had video games, couches, and a wall of frames with past photos from the event. Outside of Dell’s sponsorship area was a wall with moss on it that formed Dell’s logo. Above it were hanging plastic bottles with colored water inside of them creating an umbrella of color. The free drinks being passed around had glowstick straws and matched the lawn chairs and lawn tables. Even the food vendors inside the venue had visually appealing food, and it tasted absolutely amazing (Chi’lantro).
Another cool addition to the fort was an interactive black light wall with white markers that you could draw/write with. Artists went crazy and people marked their territory with all kinds of funky sayings. The stage at the fort itself is also always an awesome feature. Part of what makes this venue amazing is that it’s intimate. You can be anywhere inside the tent and have a great view from either side, front or back.
