While there are many surprises that take place during the festival, some of the most talked about are as follows.

2. O.T. Genasis and Ty Dolla Sign at 2 Chainz
2 Chainz preformed at the ACL Live Moody Theater on Wednesday night of the music festival for Street Execs “Beer and Taco” showcase. While on stage it seemed he brought out more surprise guests to preform rather than preforming himself. Among the guests he brought out included O.T. Genasis and Ty Dolla Sign. O.T. Genasis performed his hot new single “CoCo” alongside 2 Chainz. Ty Dolla Sign also accompanied 2 Chainz and sang one of his most popular songs “Paranoid.” With all the hype on stage for the new upcoming artists, the fans responded wonderfully as they danced and went crazy on the floor.
3. Miley Cyrus with Mike Will Made It
The Fader Fort is one of the most discussed venues during SXSW. When Mike Will Made It was announced on their lineup with “special guests” rumors started flying. When Mike Will Made It dropped the beat of his hit single “23,” the crowd then knew who the special guest was. Miley Cyrus walked on stage and took the audience by storm. The place erupted in dancing and screaming. Cyrus followed up the with her personal song “We Can’t Stop” and absolutely belted it. She has such an impressive power packed voice and she was not afraid to display it. She then stayed on stage when Rae Sremmurd started playing “Throw Sum Mo” and performed Nicki Minaj’s hook before the night was over.
4. Timbaland, Travis Scott and Twista the Fader Fort
The Fader Fort is famous for always having some of the best surprises. That being said, they had to go out with a set that would be unforgettable the last night of SXSW. Timbaland came out during Tink’s set and is being called Tinks “hype man.” He walked around, drank on stage, and hyped up the crowd and above all, Tink. Travis Scott showed his face during Hudson Mohawkes set at the fort. Together they preformed “Mamacita,” “Upper Echelon,” and “Skyfall.” Before the night was over, Twista took over the stage and ended the night with a bang.
