The Melvins have announced a new Kickstarter campaign for their documentary, “The Colossus Of Destiny – A Melvins Tale,” which is due for release in early 2016. The campaign features artwork donated by Haze XXL, Brian Walsby, Arik Roper, Skinner and Mackie Osborne.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $75,000. In less than one day, the campaign has raised $26,067. The filmmakers have set 29 days left to raise money and reach the goal amount.
On the official campaign website the filmmakers have explained their ultimate goal for this project and why they need the money. It states, “The final goal is to bring you the best looking and sounding film that is possible to go along with the already amazing story that is in position. The figure of $75,000 is what we feel is the minimum amount we need to achieve that goal. All of the funds made available to us will be spent solely on the production costs of the film making process.
