The Replacements Announce Box Set Reissue Of Their Studio Albums For April 2015 Release

Legendary alt-rock group The Replacements have had a strong foothold in the annals of rock music history ever since their inception in 1979. To commemorate their long, storied career, The Replacements are releasing a box set containing all of their studio albums which will see the light of day on April 14th.

Despite the fact that they only released seven studio albums between 1981 and 1990, their studio recordings have had a fantastic impact on the music industry and have been cited as an influence by many in the alt-rock scene. After the release of their seventh album, All Shook Down in 1990, The Replacements took a twenty year hiatus, never releasing so much as a brand new single over that time, and yet their impact was still felt throughout the industry during the duration of that twenty-year span. The last couple of years have been really kind to the group. 2014 was an especially promising year, culminating in their performance at the Summer Ends Music Festival.

Along with the announcement of the box set reissue, The Replacements have also confirmed a series of tour dates for Spring 2015 that will supplement the reissue. All in all, both 2014 and 2015 are looking to be the best two-year run for The Replacements since they were pumping out records. Fans of the band are already high on the anticipation of the release of all seven of the band’s studio records, but the additional announcement of a planned tour merely throws gasoline onto an already burning flame.
