Wino & Conny Ochs have released, “Shards”, a new song from their yet-to-be released album, “Freedom Conspiracy”.
This second collaborative album from Wino (Scott Weinrich) and Ochs can be described as an album that has both vibrant, organic beauty and distressed melancholy coursing through the collaborative thirteen tracks.
While the themes on “Freedom Conspiracy” range tales of regret, love, loss and redemption, the fifth track on the album, “Shards”, is described in a press release as being one of the most heart-wrenching tracks on the entire record. The lyrics of “Shards” paint the picture of a man whose heart and soul are shattered into a million little pieces. And, the lyrics go on to address the man’s attempts to piece himself and his life back together, amid the chaos. The track features an exquisite blend of acoustic and electric guitars, along with the clear and tight harmonies between Ochs and Wino.

“Freedom Conspiracy” will be released in North America on March 31st, via Germany’s Exile On Mainstream Records. And, Earsplit Distro will be exclusively handling the American distribution of the LP, according to a press release. The LP, which is imported from Germany, is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. It is packaged in a reverse board sleeve with thermographic print and an extensive booklet. And, the first fifteen preorders of the LP will also receive a complimentary copy of Ochs’s “Suiciety” 7-inch vinyl, which includes two new songs and an outtake from the “Raw Love Songs” sessions.

Lastly, you can catch Wino on tour this April in the States where he will be providing solo support for Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society. And, Ochs has planned several dates, himself, in Europe – including a mini-tour in Italy – this spring. But, according to a press release, the two are working to put together a tour to support their new music on “Freedom Conspiracy” as well; however, no dates have been announced, yet.
