A new album, a new tour, and now, the first single. FNM has a ton in store for 2015, and here’s the first taste.

Just a few months away from the release of Sol Invictus, Faith No More’s first recorded album since 1997, the band has released the first single off of the highly-anticipated new project. The single is an official, recorded version of song that the band has been playing live recently. “Superhero” is a complex piece that incorporates Mike Patton’s classic voice with the band’s usual electric intensity along with drifting piano elements and a killer bassline. It impressively transitions from a wild, heated jam into a beautiful, soaring mantra. The key lyrics, “leader of men, will you be one of them,” hit again and again, constantly gaining emotion until the very end. Ultimately, “Superhero” powerfully states FNM’s return and this taste of their latest work brings a new electricity to the pre-existing anticipation. Sol Invictus is scheduled to hit stores on May 19.

In addition to the new album, Faith No More is also gearing up for a new tour this year well. This will not be show you’re going to want to miss. Get your tickets here.
