Gal Pals played to fans and patrons at Harvard & Stone on Feb. 11, an East Hollywood hipster fortress, to preview tracks from their upcoming debut album, Velvet Rut. The recent Texas transplants charmed the crowd with new songs like “Punisher” and “Here’s to the Gals,” characteristic of their own unique sound. Evoking memories of 50 and 60s girl groups with their harmonies and a fusing of pop-punk and indie-pop with their energy, Gal Pals continue to build their Los Angeles following.
