Tom Jenkinson aka Squarepusher, UK-based ambient/IDM electronic artist, has revealed the date of the new album release. Damogen Furies, his follow-up to 2012’s Ufabulum and the first record in three years, will be released on 20th of April on Warp Records.
“Through this record I aim to explore as forcefully as possible the hallucinatory, the nightmarish and the brutally visceral capacities of electronic music,” Jenkinson explains the idea of the new album.
Together with the LP announcement, the artist has also presented a 30-second album trailer, filled with flowing images and blurry faces. As for the music, it’s righteously sick; the whole album of tunes like that will be a real challenge for your ears. The trailer can be watched below.
Also, one of the tracks from the upcoming album, “Rayc Fire 2,” is available for download via musician’s official website.
