Crookers Announce New Album Sixteen Chapel For March 2015 Release

Crookers aka Francesco ‘Phra’ Barbaglia, Italian DJ and producer, the owner of two record labels and quite positive bearded man, who “never takes things seriously,” has announced his third studio album Sixteen Chapel, out March 3 on Ciao Records.

Being Phra’s first solo Crookers LP without Andrea “Bot” Fratangelo, who left the band in 2012, Sixteen Chapel is an ambitious try to stay on top performing on his own, as well as a step forward in honing the DJ mastership.

Famous for his remix for Kid Cudi’s “Day’N’Nite” that reached top 20 in 21 countries, top 5 in 6 countries, and twice platinum in the United States, Crookers remains one of the most prominent DJs working today, described by Pitchfork as “one of the more promising examples of an ongoing cross-pollination between the club and “the club.”

Together with the album announcement, Phra has also revealed a single from the upcoming record – “Belly Button Tickler,” featuring Mr. MFN eXquire. Unlike melodic trip hop mystery in “Dangerous,” premiered earlier on THUMP, “Belly Button Tickler” is a heavy and incredible beat mantra, eating away the brain in a flash, and looking more like a male version of Die Antwoord.
