Shortly after Arcade Fire’s Reflektor tour finished, Will Butler (bandmate and brother to lead singer Win Butler) decided it was time to focus on making a solo album, so he went to NYC’s famed Electric Lady Studios for two weeks and made Policy. Now, in support of that album, Butler will tour for two months, with his very first stop at Bowery Ballroom on March 5th.
As a core member of Arcade Fire, Butler has been as much a part of their success as any other band member, but he realized at the conclusion of the Reflektor tour that this was his chance to focus on some of his own music, as the band will take a short hiatus.
TEEN is an alt-rock/R&B band based out of Brooklyn, and fronted by three sisters: Teeny, Lizzie and Katherine Lieberson. They have recently toured with Interpol and will Join Will Butler on a few of the dates on his upcoming tour. Butler is also playing a show on March 7th at Baby’s All Right which has already sold out, and it seems unlikely these tickets will last much longer.
