Swervedriver, one of the reunited bands from the 90s, indeed have serious intentions to release a new album I Wasn’t Born to Lose You, set for release March 3, 2015 via Cobraside.
Alternative rock Brits, reunified for tour in 2008, have released a title track off their upcoming record, and it’s called “Autodidact.” The song itself is a nice flashback to the 90s with vintage guitar sounds, Adam Franklin’s flowing voice, with a pinch of early Bush and Nirvana instrument sounding. In one word, let us consider Swervedriver’s comeback as ‘apposite’.
I Wasn’t Born to Lose You is going to be Swervedriver’s first album in 17 years, following 1998’s 99th Dream.
According to NME, the album was recorded at both Birdland in Melbourne, Australia and Konk studios in London. The band has already announced the tour dates for 2015, including debut performance at SXSW in Austin, TX.
The forthcoming album track listing is the following:
1. Autodidact
2. Last Rites
3. For A Day Like Tomorrow
4. Setting Sun
5. Everso
6. English Subtitles
7. Red Queen Arms Race
8. Deep Wound
9. Lone Star
10. I Wonder?
