Foo Fighters Sonic Highways Tour 7/15 @ Citi Field

The Foo Fighters have added another date to their ongoing stadium tour, after their original date on July 16 at Citi Field sold out shortly after tickets went on sale. Fresh off the release of their newest album and accompanying HBO miniseries, both entitled Sonic Highways, the Foo Fighters are on a massive 8 month tour that will see them play everywhere from New Zealand, to Norway.

Sonic Highways is Dave Grohl’s “love letter to American Music,” and it was recorded in historic studios all across the United States; for Grohl and the band, it was a chance to create music while sharing musical insights with some legends in the record industry. The HBO miniseries is mandatory viewing for both serious Foo Fighters fans, and for those generally interested in the history of recorded music in America.

The tour has seen the band playing some of the songs off their new release, as well as some old favorites and covers. Tickets are still available at a reasonable price, but given the quick sell-out and of the original date and the abundance of passionate Foo Fighters fans, it is not likely they will be around much longer. As of now, there has been no opening band announced for this show.
