It seems like Explosions In The Sky‘s Mark T. Smith and Eluvium‘s Matthew Cooper collaboration named Inventions is indeed fruitful. Because releasing an album every year is a hell lot of work, especially for a side project.
Maze of Woods, a follow-up to the band’s debut eponymous album, is announced for release for March 17 on Temporary Residence Ltd.
As reported by Pitchfork, the digital release of the album comes with a three-track remix EP featuring the Field, Leyland Kirby, and A Winged Victory for the Sullen.
Together with the LP announcement, duo revealed their maiden single from the upcoming album – “Springworlds.” As perfectly described by soundcolourvibration.com, “the first single from the new long player is gorgeous, breathing was a sense of nostalgia that adds flourishes of sustained bliss and warmth that you rarely experience with today’s creators.” Enjoy the beautiful music by clicking “Play” below.
