Scott Kelly Solo Project Forms Into Full Band The Road Home Featuring Noah Landis and Munly J Munly

Neurosis co-founder Scott Kelly has formed a new band with Noah Landis and Munly J Munly.

Neurosis co-founder Scott Kelly has turned his solo project into a full-fledged band called The Road Home, with Neurosis keyboardist Noah Landis and goth-folk musician Munly J Munly.

Under the old moniker, Scott Kelly and The Road Home, the band released 2011’s The Forgiven Ghost In Me.

Scott Kelly, co-founder of experimental Oakland metal band Neurosis in which he was the vocalist and guitarist, has been involved in numerous bands and solo projects since beginning Neurosis in the mid 80s, including Corrections House, Tribes of Neurot, Blood and Time, Shrine Builder, and Kelly was featured on several Mastadon albums.

Munly J Munly was brought into the group to create a different sound that blended some of Munly’s folk and gospel into the band’s aesthetic. Kelley stated in a press release,

“We changed the name because with the addition of Munly and Noah’s already prominent role in the process it felt that this had become a band of absolutely equal parts in every way. We will be working on new material throughout the year in preparation for a new record.”

The band plans to play throughout the year whenever possible, and is currently on a winter tour through January and February.
