Old Crow Medicine Show’s Gill Landry Announces New Self-Titled Solo Album For March 2015 Release

Old Crow Medicine Show’s Gill Landry will release a brand new self-titled album this March.

Gill Landry, the Louisiana-bred bluegrass singer/songwriter, has announced the release of a new self-titled record on March 3 via ATO Records.

Landry boasts a successful career as a member of the Grammy-Award winning band Old Crow Medicine Show that brought him around the world, with stops at renowned festivals including Bonnaroo, Coachella and the Newport Folk Festival.

Fans can now stream his newest single “Just Like You” at Rolling Stone Country. Landry will accompany Justin Townes Earle throughout February performing his newest tracks.

The self-titled album will have 10 tracks entirely produced by Landry himself in what he describes as, “a ramshackle, shanty-ass apartment on the south side of Nashville.”

In a press release Landry discusses the inspiration behind the album, “These songs are my attempt at transcending the more classic type of broken-hearted love song I’d been writing for years where there was an obvious victim. I tried to not come at it from the point of how things could have/should have been or should be, but searching for a sweet, understanding surrender to what is or was, and moving forward with compassion and kindness without harsh judgment to the reasons for this crime or that misstep.”
