Rock band Clutch played new material for fans at a show in New Jersey.
Fans of rock band, Clutch, filmed a performance at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, where the band showcased previously unheard material.
During 2014, the band toured Europe on the tails of the success of their 2013 album Earth Rocker, which entered the Billboard Top 200 Chart at No. 15, where it remained for five weeks, and also reached No. 1 on iTunes Rock Chart.
Now, Clutch is gearing up for their next release, which they plan to record in January. In the meantime, the band performed some of their new songs at show in New Jersey, which fans recorded.
When asked about the upcoming album in regards to their success with Earth Rocker, lead singer Neil Fallon told Blabbermouth,
“We started writing [material for the next album] pretty quickly. So it does bear a lot of similarities to Earth Rocker, just because we’re just coming off the heels of that. If we waited five years, I’m sure it would be a different story.”
Since Earth Rocker, Clutch has released Summer Sound Attack, a ten song compilation of their most popular tunes, and a triple deluxe version of Earth Rocker, released on Weathermaker Music.
On the band’s plans for the next couple months, Fallon stated,
“We’ll do a run from Christmas to New Year’s to mid-January out to Texas, where we plan to record it. And then we’ll record in January and February and probably the beginning of March, take a little bit of time off, and [get] back out on the road.”
