The previously unreleased song, “Whiskey Road” from the late Dimebag Darrell is now available for streaming on SoundCloud. According to Blabbermouth, the song was recorded in 2001 during Pentera’s “Reinventing The Steel” tour.
The unreleased track, “Whiskey Road” is being premiered by Guitar World magazine. As part of the magazines February 2015 issue, the magazine will be doing a tribute to Dimebag Darrell Abbott. The track features Dimebag on vocals and guitar.
In 2004, following a performance Damageplan performance at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag Darrell was shot. Following his death, there was controversy over the status of Pentera and whether or not the group would continue to produce music. However, Pentera member Vinnie Paul made it clear that the group had no plans to continue without Dimebag.
