Butcher Babies Announce Winter 2015 Tour Dates

Metal band Butcher Babies have announced winter 2015 tour dates.

Metal band Butcher Babies have announced a North American 2015 tour with Black Label Society and Hatebreed. With a new album out next summer, the band will be previewing some of their new material at their upcoming tour dates, which start in Washington and end in Nebraska at the end of January.

The LA band consist of fronters Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey, guitarist Henry Flury, bassist Jason Klein, and drummer Chris Warner, and released their first EP back in 2011. Since, the band has also released a comic book written by Carla Harvey and illustrated by Anthony Winn.

In 2013, Butcher Babies released their first album Goliath, which was produced by Josh Wilbur. Goliath received critical acclaim and landed Butcher Babies at No. 3 on the Billboard New Artist/Heatseakers chart. Butcher Babies have toured with big-name artist Marilyn Manson, as well as Danzig and Texas Hippie Coalition.

Called by Keith Valcourt as “The Hottest Band In the World,” Butcher Babies claim to be influenced by Marilyn Manson, Iron Maiden, and Plasmatics. Shepherd and Harvery have said that they are hugely influenced by Plasmatics lead Wendy O. Williams, the first woman in metal.

The band stated in an interview with Horror Pilot, “We are big fans of Wendy O. Williams. We took the name from the Plasmatics song “Butcher Baby“. Wendy was a bad ass…she didn’t give a fuck what anyone thought…we share that spirit.”

Earlier this year, the band released their second EP, Uncovered. Butcher Babies newest album, produced by Logan Mader, has yet to be titled, but will be released next summer. In the meantime, you can hear some of the band’s newest material at their upcoming tour dates this winter.
