Basement Jaxx has released a new video for their single “Rock This Road” featuring Shakka. The song comes from the groups Junto LP which was released in August via Atlantic Jaxx/Pias.
According to Consequence of Sound, Basement Jaxx’s new video is inspired by Star Wars. The video starts off explaining the back story of Lord Maqod. The opening crawl states that the Interstellar God of Dance has come to earth in hopes of harvesting dance energy.
“Rock This Road’s” fast up-beat pace fits the bill for this intergalactic science fiction story. According to Consequence of Sound the video basically boils down to one big sci-fi dance party.
