LISTEN: Band of Horses and Grandaddy Release New Song “Hang an Ornament”

Band of Horses has teamed up with Jason Lytle, leader of Grandaddy, to produce their next album. The band offered the first taste of this new collaboration by releasing “Hang an Ornament” as an early Christmas present to fans.

Stereogum first announced the release by the two Pacific-Northwest mainstays earlier this week.

This album will be the first full release from Band of Horses since 2012’s Mirage Rock, though the band recently played the Firefly Festival in Dover, DE. The band will also play at My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday Festival early next year.

Following his work with Grandaddy, Jason Lytle’s last full release was Dept. of Disappearance, which was also released in 2012.
