California-grown The Mowgli’s have released a new single from their anticipated new album due out in April.
Full of rich background harmonies and sunny melodic moments that stem from their California roots, The Mowgli’s new song “Through The Dark” builds on the foundation that started when they released their first single “San Francisco,” earlier this year. The group now convenes both in the studio and on the road as they now prepare for their first full-length album release, tentatively scheduled to come out in April of next year. The seven piece group, which originally began as a four-piece comprised of four childhood friends, has been hard at work promoting their sound and prepping for the upcoming record. “Through The Dark” will be available for purchase on Monday on iTunes.
The music that has thus far established the group contains elements from an unending wellspring of genres. It’s quasi-hippie folk. It’s indie pop. It’s incredible. We eagerly await the day when The Mowgli’s new record hits store shelves in just a few short months.
