Marilyn Manson Explains The Origins Of The Leaked Lana Del Rey Rape Video

Marilyn Manson denies any involvement with the footage that was leaked with singer Lana Del Rey appearing to be raped by filmmaker Eli Roth. As shocking as the video looked, Manson explains how shocking the video took place.

There is a lot of odd things attached to Manson’s peculiar stage identity but not rape and spooky serial shooters and other strange things that the footage that was leaked a few weeks go involving singer Lana Del Rey and filmmaker Eli Roth had. Even that gave one of the world’s most controversial artist a strange feeling. But Manson talks about the video and explains how a friend was just testing out his camera.

There is nothing wrong with being a little out-of-the-box with creativity. However, sometimes it can be taken too far which is seen in 2 1/2 minute footage of some eerie images. And testing out camera has been taken to another level, as Manson explains how Eli Roth, the director of the movie Hostel was just giving his new camera a little test run. According to Stereogum, Manson does not claim being part of the making of these scenes however in which celebrity Lana Del Rey appears to be raped by Eli Roth.

Manson responds to the comments about this footage supposedly having something to do with a new music video that he and Roth were working on. However, Manson explains that he has nothing to do with this and it will not be in any music video of his. He states:

It wasn’t a Marilyn Manson video. The editor of the company that put it out was somebody who’s edited my videos, that video was something that was done with a camera that Eli, who’s my friend, and I both wanted to test out, so I let him test it out… What they filmed was put in context seemingly as if it were a Marilyn Manson video, and that was in no way the intention…

Eli and I wanted to do a music video with [Lana Del Rey], but she was being such a problem. Although I still respect her, I’m friends with her. I just left, I was tired, I was not willing to make that part of the video. Eli and I originally had intentions of making a video with her. But that is not the intention that is represented in that film clip because that is not what I filmed, not for my video.
