Fans Upset About Limited Tickets At The Foo Fighters’ Irving Plaza Show

Whether miscommunication or misunderstanding, an enormous amount of die-hard Foo Fighter fans are furious about missing out on the bands epic performance last night at Irving Plaza in New York.

For a band who can sell out venues with capacities of 45,000+ according to Brooklyn Vegan, it was almost wishful thinking of the fans who camped out over night in front of the venue with a capacity of 1,000+, hoping to be first to purchase their tickets, only to find out they were already sold out.

No tickets were made available in advance, and the anticipative ticket buyers were told not to line-up until 3pm, yet somehow they were all sold out by 1pm.
Many outraged fans took to Twitter to express their feelings on the matter:

Irving Plaza also took to Twitter to inform the people in line about wristbands they were passing out to help stop the pandemonium, and then to respond to the angered fans’ allegations:

The sad part for all the disheartened fans who didn’t make it into the show, missed out on a legendary performance according to Rolling Stone who said it rocked on until just before 1am, as the iconic band outlasted many of their younger fans.

This ended the cross-country Sonic Highway journey the band had been on to create and promote their latest album, Sonic Highway. This project has kept lead singer Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters extremely busy this last year. What began as new album, became an HBO series documenting the recording process of each song and their influences, a summer long tour, five-day residence on David Letterman, appearances at numerous Music Festivals and kicked off with Grohl being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Nirvana.
