Foo Fighter’s Dave Grohl released a previously unreleased demo, “Hooker On The Street”. After hearing the released ‘90s demo, it is now believed that this track may have helped with the creation of the Foo Fighters.
Dave Grohl debuted “Hooker On The Street” during an episode the Foo Fighter’s Sonic Highway HBO documentary series. The track is a solo demo that Grohl recorded while he was still the drummer of Nirvana.
“Hooker On The Street” has a grunge vibe mixed with a bit of soulful funk. Grohl half sings and half raps throughout the track. In addition to revealing the three minute long demo, Grohl also mentioned that Kurt Cobain kissed him on the face after hearing the solo track.
Following the release of the Foo Fighter’s album, Sonic Highway, the group has been very busy. They recently revealed dates for their summer 2015 tour. Additionally, the group took part in many appearances including five day residency with David Letterman that featured a performance of “Stiff Competition” with Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen.
