Doomtree Announces New Album, Winter 2015 Tour Dates And Release New Song “Gray Duck”

Hip-hop collective Doomtree made a lot of announcements today – not only have they released a new track, but they also announced an upcoming album and 2015 tour dates.

Doomtree is made up of Cecil Otter, Dessa, Lazerbeak, Mike Mictlan, P.O.S, Paper Tiger and Sims. The seven members work together to produce music that blends multiple genres, with VH1 saying the group has “the aggressive energy of a punk act with just the right amount of hip-hop swagger.”

The new album, All Hands, will be available January 27 from their own company, Doomtree Records. It’s already available for pre-order and the standard pre-order package includes a 36-page lyric booklet, instant downloads of “Gray Duck” and “.38 Airweight,” a bonus track (“High Water”) at the time of the album release, an autographed poster and a glow-in-the-dark sticker. The deluxe pre-order package includes all that plus a limited edition t-shirt, a miniature ship in a bottle and custom matchbox, a metal Doomtree pin and an All Hands cloth patch.

To celebrate the announcement of All Hands, the group released the second track from the album, entitled “Gray Duck.” The song begins with a bang and doesn’t really slow down for its four-minute run time. The electronic music is rhythmic and moves the production forward, while the emcees flow over it and transition to each other seamlessly. Stream the new song below.

Doomtree will also be going on tour beginning February 4, soon after their album release, and ending on March 17. Prior to that, the group will be putting on their tenth and last annual Blowout show in December. The regular tour dates span the United States; see the full list below.
