Surprise at Times Square, as Kanye West, U2, Coldplay, and many other celebrity musicians will be performing a surprise concert for World’s AIDS Day.
New York is one of the greatest cities for live entertainment. And for today, December 1st—World AIDS Day—we are remembering all those who have died from this terrible plague and encouraging people to know their status. Tonight some high-profile musicians like Carrie Underwood, Kanye West, U2, Coldplay, will be performing for a holiday event in Times Square, New York City.
According to Consequence of Sound, U2 will be headlining the event without their lead singer Bono due to a recent biking accident last month. Bono is currently recovering from severe face, bone, and neck injuries. The band will therefore perform with singer and songwriter, Bruce Springsteen, and Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on YouTube. Tune into the live stream of all the performances here on mxdwn:
